Removing Support For Xcode 9.1 and 10.2.0

We are removing the support for two Xcode versions on CircleCI in the next few weeks:

  1. Xcode 9.1 — Monday, July 29th, 2019. This is the least used Xcode version on our platform and is used by very few projects. We are proactively reaching out to the owners of the projects using Xcode 9.1 to prevent any disruption on July 29th. After July 29th all jobs using Xcode 9.1 will fail. Please upgrade to Xcode 9.2 or newer.
  2. Xcode 10.2.0 — Monday, August 26th, 2019. This version has bugs that we fixed in the Xcode 10.2.1 image. After August 26th all jobs using Xcode 10.2.0 will automatically use Xcode 10.2.1. There might be differences in the dependency versions between the Xcode 10.2.0 image and the Xcode 10.2.1 image. Please upgrade to Xcode 10.2.1 or newer.

You can find the full list of Xcode versions supported on CircleCI in our documentation.

We are making these changes in order to more effectively support Xcode 10.3 and Xcode 11.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out through the regular support channels, comment on this post, or contact your account manager.
