My project makes use of persist_to_workspace. I only want to temporarily store binaries as these get shared to GitHub I don’t need them to be there for more than a day at most. In the documentation it refers to being able to modify the retention period using Usage Controls, by navigating to Plan>Usage Controls, but I can’t seem to find that option anywhere. The only options I seem to have are Overview, Usage, and Share & Transfer.
Are you an org admin either in GitHub or in CircleCI? You need to be an admin to be able to see and adjust those settings Persisting Data Overview - CircleCI
That’s a good question. I’m a little confused by how things are set up currently. I seem to have an organization with the same name as my username on CircleCI, and this was set up some time ago. Since I created that organization, I would assume I’d also be an admin. I originally made my account using the GitHub sign up process over 3 years ago.
Looking at the organization settings, under the “People” option, this is currently empty, and I wonder if my account should be listed there, but isn’t. I tried following the invite link to invite myself to the organization, but that also doesn’t seem to be working.
Technically, I’m not an organisation to begin with, I’m more using CircleCI for some personal projects and my GitHub account isn’t configured as an organisation either.
Can you confirm that for the github org that you’re using with this CircleCI account, you are an org admin? Also, can you confirm that when viewing a job in the CircleCI UI, you see “/github” or “/gh” instead of “/circleci”?
My GitHub account isn’t set up as an organisation. It’s an individual account.
Yup, /github is what it shows in the URL.

Ohhh, that explains it. I hadn’t realised, I thought this would be something available to all. My bad, thanks for the clarification.
