Python build fails with segmentation fault (core dumped)

I have recently started to build my open edx-platform on circleci 2.0, and test are being executed but will randomly fail with a Segmentation fault (core dumped).

I have tracked the issue down to be on the ubuntu kernel, and upgrading tot he latest update of ubuntu 16.04 solves the issue, however there are no ubuntu 16.04 images to be used for circle builds.

I am in the process of building my own docker image to try and solve the issue that way, but can you please tell be why you are not supplying ubuntu 16.04 as a standard and if you do can you please let me know how i should update my config.yml file to make use of the image as i can find nothing in the documentation.

Thank you
