Contexts / VCS Something Unexpected Happened

I’m setting up a new organisation in CircleCI and can’t access the ‘Contexts’ or ‘VCS’ tabs within ‘Organization Settings’. I can access the ‘Security’ tab though. My account has ‘Owner’ permissions in GitHub for the organisation.

Another post from a while back mentioned that organisation naming may matter. The display name was changed prior to linking with CircleCI. I changed the name back, but it didn’t fix anything sadly.

Little update, it’s started working on its own. Maybe a temporary outage / glitch?

Thanks for letting us know this is resolved.

I suspect there was a permissions sync delay between CircleCI and GitHub which caused the issue you were having.

In a case like this the first thing to try is to refresh permissions.
