CircleCI failed to start the task agent: exec: no command

Hi everyone. I would be really grateful if someone help me with this issue:

CircleCI failed to run this build, check your config. Try re-running the build and if this issue persists, open a Support ticket. Detail: could not complete task: failed to start the task agent: exec: no command

Happened after moving config.yml to git submodules which was a bad idea.
Even after switching to a different branch with old config it fails to run.

Iā€™m facing the same issue.

This is specifically with self-hosted runners running on MacOS arm64.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
