The convenience image, cimg/gcp, has a latest build of 2025.01. This has the Google Cloud SDK version 507.0.0 pre loaded. We recently needed something from a more recent Google Cloud SDK so are faced with either upgrading the gcloud cli for each job that needs it or using the Orb. Both of these are quite a bit slower than using a convenience image.
Are there any plans to update these images? (for info, the latest GoogleCloud SDK as I write this is 551.0.0)
