Notify not working with ansible-galaxy

In travis I can announce successful builds to ansible-galaxy simply by adding:

notifications:
  webhooks: https://galaxy.ansible.com/api/v1/notifications/

Trying to do similar in circleci results in nothing:

notify:
  webhooks:
    - url: https://galaxy.ansible.com/api/v1/notifications/

Is this not working as I am (naively) expecting it to work?
