See title. I know they use network credits, but I checked the FAQ’s and docs and didn’t see if they use compute credits or not.
No, they do not incur any fees as CircleCI does not charge for the pre-processing stage of the job that starts it and records the results.
One thing to note is there seems to be a limitation in the system where you can not start a self-hosted runner-based job if you have zero network credits, so that is something to keep an eye on.
