Are there no way that restrict approving workflows?

I want to deploy to production environment but CircleCI workflows seems to be lacking the permission settings.

I have read this closed discussion and I am wondering about the workarounds or roadmap to solve the problem.

Are there any solutions?

I have noticed this ideas is what I want.

Because the ideas doesn’t have ETA, I am wondering whether or not there are any workaround about this issue.
It seems that whoever can see CircleCI can approve any approve jobs.
