It’d be very helpful to have Xcode 26 support as we’d like to start continuous delivery of our beta
Agreed! I can see from previous topics here that some Xcode betas have been supported in the past.
any updates on this? with beta 5 now out we are rapidly approaching GA in ~1 month and we will need time to make sure we have our build pipelines working with XCode 26.
+1 on this. Given the volume of UI change this time around, we’d really love to rely on CircleCI to catch regressions, so this is a must!
This is currently a blocker for us as we’re trying to do the iOS 26 work and start testing ready for the release but CircleCI is preventing that.
Circle event mentions Xcode 26 on this page but still, no current support. CircleCI Xcode image release, update, and deprecation policy :: CircleCI Documentation
Hello, is there a plan to support Xcode 26 on M1, M2, and M3 machines, or will it only be available on M4 and newer?
FYI, the manifest includes the wrong Ruby version. The latest image has Ruby 3.4.5 installed, not 3.4.3.
Appreciate it only got released last night but thought I’d ask the question. Is CircleCI working to get the Xcode RC released as an image? We’d love to get your final build made and submitted for the launch of iOS 26 on Monday.
Yes, please don’t take too long with this as we have a small window to get our builds out for Monday.
The last release notes state:
- iOS 26 simulators sporadically freeze during boot and may fail to start. We recommend pre-booting simulators and, if they don’t start within 60 seconds, terminate them and restart them.
How can I do this? I have noticed jobs intermittently failing due to this.
iOS 26 is set to be released tomorrow, but CircleCI is once again behind schedule.
Its the lack of communication I’m finding the most irritating - not even a reply to this thread saying “hey we’re working on it”.
Yes, they don’t give a damn. That’s why my company is migrating to Xcode Cloud, which is surprisingly even cheaper. Ultimately, CircleCI’s attitude helps on that direction. Maybe that’s what they want.
Apologies for the delay, I posted a response here. We’ll be better at responding to forum questions in a more timely fashion. If you have questions going forward and need a faster response, email me at sebastian@circleci.com
@lukeredpath im checking on the simulator pre-booting and how to do that. I’ll get back to you.
@lukeredpath lmk if you still have questions
Hello.
Xcode 26 GA has been released
We’ve seen reports from our users hitting an OS issue (outlined here) with XCode 26 where the device id is changing across VMs. We’ve opened a support ticket with Apple and encourage you to do so as well if you are hitting it.
