Unable to add an SSH key

I recently deleted an SSH key in order to rename it, and now I can’t seem to add it back; it just keeps saying ‘Failed’. Is this because I’m trying to resave a private key that I have previously saved, and if so, can this be fixed somehow, or do I need to regenerate new keys?

If so, this is a known issue.
