This is a feature request. It is currently possible to run docker with the --privileged flag by using the machine executor, but it would be nice to have that be an option that one could pass to the docker executor. Is that something you would consider? Or are there security reasons for not allowing it?

This is a really important feature. Could someone from CircleCI at least respond to this and indicate if you plan to support privileged mode?
This is a well-described, concrete, highly valuable feature request, but nobody from CircleCI has responded. I have seen this repeatedly on this forum and I wonder whether it is even being monitored. If CircleCI is not monitoring this forum, you should really just shut it down.
