We are having some really weird bugs running circleci, which we cannot (sorry for earlier typo) reproduce on our local machines.
I don’t suppose it is possible to actually log on the circleci instance and trouble shoot?

Typo should have said cannot.
It is. Go to your failed job and choose “Re-run job with SSH”. That will run the build again, which will fail, and then it will allow you to get an SSH session. You can log in and trouble-shoot from the console.
