It seems that the cimg/clojure images are not being maintained regularly.
They don’t support:
- JDK 21
- ARM
both of which seem like easy additions. There are issues and PRs for both of these with no response from CircleCI:

Is this image still supported? We migrated to use this image with the expectation that it would receive updates on a regular cadence to match more common images (Java, Node, Python).
