Would be nice to have the environment variable CIRCLE_PR_BASE_BRANCH. This would be set to the base branch of a PR (i.e. the branch the PR would merge into) if the build is in a PR.

One of the reasons I would like this is for this PR merge workaround.

Does anyone know if the code that governs this is within one of Circle CI’s many Github repositories? If it is, I’d be happy to at least look at it and make a PR - I vaguely remember seeing this same request elsewhere with the response that they thought it was a good idea but hadn’t had time for it yet
