Xcode 12.2 (RC) Released

The Xcode 12.2 (Release Candidate) image has just been released and can be selected as follows:

macos:
    xcode: 12.2.0

Image Info

Xcode 12.2 Build version 12B5044c is installed at /Applications/Xcode-12.2.Release.Candidate.app

The following runtimes are installed:

  • iOS 13.7
  • iOS 14.2
  • tvOS 13.4
  • tvOS 14.2
  • watchOS 6.2
  • watchOS 7.1

The full manifest of installed software can be found here.

Additional Notes

  • this release replaces and redirects from 12.2 Beta 3; all related tags pointing to 12.2 Beta 3 (12.2.0, 12.0.0-beta, 12.0.0-UA, etc) have been redirected to this image
  • the previous-version iOS simulator has been bumped to the last releases (ie. iOS 13.5 is now iOS 13.7)

Looks like the final 12.2 is a different build from 12.2RC (https://xcodereleases.com).

It’d be great to have another announcement/a comment on this one when the image is updated to use the final build.
