Can Docker images be preserved between jobs in a workflow without a manual load/save?

There are several other thread on this already, but they’re all closed and unresolved. We have the same basic docker use case for build, test, deploy. Build: build one or more docker images. Test: spin up containers using the images, and other images, probably using docker-compose.yml Deploy: push the image to a repository (heroku in our case) run some additional commands This use case isn’t properly supported in Circle 2.0 and really needs fixing.
