# Xcode 15.1 beta 3 released

The Xcode 15.1 beta 3image has been released on **M1 and Gen2 Intel resource classes** and can be selected as follows:

```auto
macos:
    xcode: 15.1

```

**⚠ This re-release upgrades the OS to macOS 14.1 Sonoma. We have seen improved build times with this change, but the OS upgrade may cause issues in your builds. In the case that you experience issues with the OS upgrade,** `xcode 15` **will still be available** ⚠

⚠ This release additionally does not appear to ship with pre-configured simulator pairs (iPhone and Apple Watch), therefore you may need to create these pairs manually before booting them using the `xcrun simctl pair WATCH_UDID IPHONE_UDID` command, substituting the UDIDs found in the manifest files listed below.

⚠ Please note that visionOS is **only** available on m1 machines.
