The Xcode 15.0.1 RC image has been released on **M1 and Gen2 Intel resource classes** and can be selected as follows: ```auto macos: xcode: 15.0.1 ``` * * * **Note: This will eventually replace Xcode 15.0.0 as per [our image policy](https://circleci.com/docs/xcode-policy/)** **We will update this thread once this thread when we intend to make this change - after 15.0.1 is promoted to GA and any potentially breaking changes are discovered** * * * ## 🐛 Known Issues 🐛 This release may help with the known issue in Xcode 15 which causes the simulator runtimes to be slow to launch: [https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode-release-notes/xcode-15\_0\_1-release-notes#Resolved-Issues](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode-release-notes/xcode-15_0_1-release-notes#Resolved-Issues) For discussion on this topic, please see: > [@Severe performance problems with Xcode 15](https://discuss.circleci.com/t/severe-performance-problems-with-xcode-15/49205/25): > > After some time investigating our builds using the macos.m1.medium.gen1 resource class and also inspecting local builds I found that even for a trivial Xcode project the test suite never launches. While attempting to debug via SSH any operations through xcrun simctl spawn take at least several seconds to return, if more than one simulator is booted this can be as long as a minute. The workaround for now seems to be to use macos.m1.large.gen1, however as noted by others runtime here is about do… ⚠ This release additionally does not appear to ship with pre-configured simulator pairs (iPhone and Apple Watch), therefore you may need to create these pairs manually before booting them using the `xcrun simctl pair WATCH_UDID IPHONE_UDID` command, substituting the UDIDs found in the manifest files listed below. The iOS simulator in this release appears to be iOS 17.0.1, however it still reports as iOS 17.0.
