I’m using this configuration here:

```auto
version: 2.0
defaults: &defaults
  working_directory: ~/node-circle
  docker:
    - image: circleci/node:8.1.4
workflows:
  version: 2
  build-eslint-and-test:
    jobs:
      - build
      - test:
          requires:
            - build
      - lint
jobs:
  build:
    <<: *defaults
    steps:
      - run: echo 'Build!'
  test:
    <<: *defaults
    steps:
      - run: echo 'Test!'
  lint:
    <<: *defaults
    steps:
      - run: echo 'Lint!'
```

When I test for validation: `config file is valid`
And then when I run it using `circleci build --parallelism 2` it only executes the `build` task, and doesn’t run the lint and test. What am I doing wrong?

So, the issue is that I was trying to run this locally, and apparently, there isn’t a way to run workflows locally (that I can find yet). You can use `circleci build` to run these workflows individually, then push them up to CircleCI to have them run in true parallel. I’d like to leave this open and see if anyone knows a workaround to running workflows locally

Workflow support in local builds was already [asked for](https://discuss.circleci.com/t/workspaces-and-local-circleci-script/13436) and [requested](https://discuss.circleci.com/t/command-line-support-for-workflows/14510).
