# Requesting Ubuntu 26.04.1 machine image

Please provide a machine image update for [ubuntu-2604](https://circleci.com/developer/machine/image/ubuntu-2604)!

The current latest image is `ubuntu-2604:2026.07.1` using Ubuntu 26.04 with Node.js 24.15.0.

[Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS (Resolute Raccoon)](https://releases.ubuntu.com/26.04/) was announced back in August 2026 and is the default version offered on [Get Ubuntu | Download | Ubuntu](https://ubuntu.com/download)

It would be helpful to have an updated machine image based on Ubuntu 26.04.1.
