Network performance of free tier

Does the container used for builds on the free tier have the same network performance as containers used for builds on the paid tiers? I’m getting network timeouts connecting to gcr.io and PubNub and wondering if upgrading to a paid plan will help.

The containers should all be the same. How big are the images you are working with? I’m worked with GCR on CircleCI and haven’t experienced issues in the past. Perhaps temporary?

I’m able to download containers 300MB from gcr.io. The problem is uploading containers 11MB to gcr.io. That’s been failing off and on for a couple months.
