Due to changes in the next macOS major release, Ventura (macOS 13), our `medium` and `large` macOS resource classes will not be compatible with Xcode starting in Spring 2023. As a result, we will be deprecating these resources on October 2, 2023. At that time, the default macOS resource class will be `macos.x86.medium.gen2`. Beginning March 1, 2023, these resources will still be available for use but we will no longer provide new Xcode images for them. Freemium customers will also have access to our gen2 medium resource class starting March 1. This deprecation **does not include our medium.gen2 resource and no action is required today**. We will share more details on next steps in early 2023. ---

This deprecation will have two phases. See below for the timeline and details of each phase. Phase 1 - mid-March 2023 a. Xcode 14.2.0 is the last Xcode version that will be supported by medium and large. b. We will automatically upgrade jobs for customers on our Free plan to our Gen2 resources (macos.x86.medium.gen2). Phase 2 - October 2, 2023 a. The macOS medium and large res… ---
