# Line numbers not aligned with lines in step output

Example:

Each line of output the line numbers fall a tiny bit behind vertically, until by the end of a long job the line numbers may be completely _off screen_, hundreds of visual lines away from the lines they are annotating.

In the example here, the `362` line number actually goes with the last line in the screenshot.

By later in this job, line numbers in the `13000` range were multiple screen-fulls above the output they annotated.

This happens with every single step in every single job in every single workflow in every single project.

managed to repro on our end. thanks. looking into it now
