Today I started seeing an annoying white flickering behavior when viewing a job in CircleCI’s web UI. I have never seen this before. Basically, while viewing the black console log screen for a job, every few seconds everything except for the black bar along the left and CircleCI banner on the top will disappear and show all white for a half-second or so, and then it will redraw the latest logs. In other words, you can’t watch the logs continuously write to the screen without seeing everything flash all white every few seconds. It’s like someone is taking a flash photo of you in your face every few seconds. It has a nauseating effect. Also, just to clarify, it doesn’t just disappear / clear the black console output, it also disappears the bread crumb links at the top along with the whole “accordion” UI of job steps, etc. ---

I’m also seeing this, the UI is pretty unusable because every time the view resets it loses track of what tab I navigated to, which jobs were expanded, my scroll position, etc. I hope y’all give us some transparency on what caused this because I worry this was a hacky workaround for state getting stale, and/or worse, that LLM-assisted coding was responsible for this. ---

Hitting this as well, seems to coincide every time the UI makes a request to `https://app.circleci.com/api/v1.1/project/github///` ---

Seems fixed now, but I would still love to hear what caused this, because it feels like there was a lack of human smoke testing here ---

And yes, because this affected the primary use case of viewing the CI logs, it seems like this is the kind of thing that someone should be checking as part of preparing and deploying the code change. ---

Saw this refreshing issue yesterday as well. Very glad I’m not crazy and that it’s fixed.
