We have been working on creating an orb for a common workflow we want to apply to all of the repo’s.

We just noticed that according to the documentation (and the feature request) you cannot publish and version an Orb without it being public.

What I can’t find in the documentation is if there is a way to essentially do a similar workflow but all locally.
The best solution we have right now is basically copying the orb into every repo, which is far less than ideal.

Is what we want to do right now just not possible?

Regarding the _feature request_ mentioned in the initial post, I am leaving the link for that feature request here for reference - [https://circleci.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CCI-I-606](https://circleci.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CCI-I-606)
