# FYI - DLC on Windows Behavior Change

[Docker Layer Caching](https://circleci.com/docs/2.0/docker-layer-caching) (DLC) on Windows is currently not supported on CircleCI. To make this limitation more clear to users, CircleCI will begin fast-failing jobs that attempt to use DLC on Windows jobs and providing an informative error message.

We will update this [Canny request](https://circleci.canny.io/images/p/windows-docker-layer-caching) if/when DLC is supported on Windows.
