Circle.yml support for scripting post codedeploy (and/or airbrake deploy notifications)

codedeploy
circle.yml

#1

After a successful deployment, we need to run a rake task to notify airbrake – we’d love to be able to do that in a post or success block in the deployment section of circle.yml

alternately, we’d love straight airbrake integration, but that seems like more work for you.

Hi,

Couldn’t you do that as the last line of the deployment section? Each command in deployment only runs if the previous command was successful. As long as the previous command returned an exit code of 0, (passed), then the command to notify airbrake will run. Otherwise it won’t.

The docs didn’t cover it explicitly but based on this: https://circleci.com/docs/continuous-deployment-with-heroku/#pre-or-post I assumed that the circle.yml doesn’t support commands when you’re running inside an aws code_deploy deployment block, so I emailed support and Lev recommended I post here…
