# CI\_PULL\_REUQEST and other PR environment variables are missing

After merging PRs from github, the build that runs doesn’t contain any of the PR environment variables like `CIRCLE_PR_NUMBER`, `CIRCLE_PR_REPONAME`, and `CIRCLE_PR_USERNAME`.

Hi @drogerschariot!

We’ve seen this issue before, but not for a while. I’m going to link you to an older solution, and I’d love to know if this is the same issue or you’re seeing something else.
