Cached tests?

Hello.

On every build, I’m getting weird error from the test file that not already exists.
My project using Laravel and tests built with Laravel Dush usage. And on every build I’m getting:

  1. Tests\Browser\ExampleTest::testBasicExample
    Did not see expected text [Laravel] within element [body].

This is default test file, which is creating by default after Laravel Dusk is installed and this file is already deleted from the repository, but I’m still getting errors.

Here is my config.yml file: https://gist.github.com/scofield-ua/485d6ab83fff781606c8b59c3dac64da

I just don’t understand how is that possible.

But aren’t you installing dusk again here, so it’s putting it back? https://gist.github.com/scofield-ua/485d6ab83fff781606c8b59c3dac64da#file-config-yml-L71

Also, I would highly recommend after you get this all figured out that you make a container for the “install extensions” and “install composer” steps

Thanks @robwise, that’s make sense.

What do you mean by making container for the “install extensions” and “install composer” steps. I’d like to cache “Install extensions” step because it takes about 3-4 minutes to install on every build which is a lot. Can you please advise?

Like make your own docker container that has that stuff already done, so all you do is restore that image and avoid doing all of that. See https://circleci.com/docs/2.0/custom-images/
